The half-hour documentary, INNOVATE: Engineering Change, being released to public television stations in April 2009, tells the story of a dynamic group of men and women as they work together on a pilot project to install water turbines in New York City's East River. If successful, it will generate an alternative source of "green" energy that may be produced commercially. We witness firsthand the exciting and collaborative work of the team members as they share their personal and professional journeys, overcome challenges, and ultimately achieve success.
Featured are (from left): Jonathan Colby, hydrodynamic engineer; Dean Whatmoor, logistics coordinator; Mollie Gardner, regulatory liaison; Hannah Abend, geophysicist; Susana Crespo, geospatial analyst. Also appearing in the program are Rob Morrow, co-star of the hit TV series NUMB3RS, and Association of American Colleges and Universities spokesperson Debra Humphreys, who weigh in on the importance of developing tomorrow's innovators.
INNOVATE: Engineering Change is a production of Creative Expansions, Inc.
