Rachel Morin, a 37-year-old mother of five, was found dead this week along a Maryland hiking trail. Police have not ruled out foul play.
The victim’s sister, Rebekah, wrote that “this was not an [accidental] death, and she did not go willingly. She deserves a funeral worthy of her beauty.”
As of right now, investigators are unable to decide if Morin’s death was “a random event.”
“Right now detectives continue to work the case as aggressively as they possibly can and we will leave no stone unturned.”
Morin’s partner, Richard Tobin, reported her missing. “I love Rachel, I would never do anything to her,” he wrote. “Let the family and I grieve. Yes I have a past but I also have 15 months clean and have changed as a person. Please.”
While Tobin is not a suspect at this time, police have stated that, “sadly, it’s a homicide case.”
