One thing you can rely on is your gut. We get so busy in our daily lives that we sometimes forget to listen to what our inner wisdom is trying to tell us. What are some moments when our instincts might be trying to tell us something?
This person is dangerous
He is smiling at you, flirting and being seductive, but inwardly you feel as if something is wrong. Listen. Don’t deny what you know is the truth. Some well-meaning friends may try to convince you otherwise, but deep down you’ll know what’s real.
This is too risky
You might be considering a new venture–taking a job, starting a company or traveling to another country. You are excited and want to make it work, but your gut is telling you something different. Look at the pluses and the minuses of making the move, including your fears. And if there are more advantages, still explore it further. But if you are getting a sense that the timing isn’t right, LISTEN. That doesn’t mean you will never venture out in these ways; it just may not be in the cards for you right now.
You can help here
When you know that a person is struggling with an issue you’ve already dealt with in your life, and that you can support them, do it. Your inner guidance will show you exactly how, what words to use and what will make them believe you.
Don’t say a word
In business and with personal relationships, sometimes it is better to say nothing–just listen and acknowledge that you’ve heard what has been said. You may hear an inner voice telling you to keep your mouth shut. If you do, you can avoid getting into arguments or conversations that lead to nowhere. This does not mean that you should always keep quiet, but it’s what might be best in this moment.
