Fake people might try to convince you that they are nice, but they aren’t. How do you handle them so you don’t stoop to their level?
Let them know that you are on to them.
Don’t play along with their lies, let them know you know what’s up. Use words like, “Oh really!”, “I know that isn’t the case.” Once they realize that you won’t fall for their deceit, they’ll probably leave you alone. They won’t like being called out for their behavior.
Know that they are very insecure.
Don’t be fooled by their false bravado—they don’t feel very good about themselves and that’s why they pretend to be something they are not. Remember, the problem is with them, not you.
Stay away from them as much as you can.
Only deal with them if you have to. Don’t be seduced by their requests of your time. You owe them nothing.
Don’t let them manipulate you.
If you need to play this card do—tell them if they don’t stop it, you will let others know their true colors.
