Let’s face it ladies, we just don’t take enough time out for ourselves. We are too busy taking care of everyone else, right?
Yes, we’ve heard this before, but sometimes it goes in one ear and out the other.
But resisting time for recharge can be bad for your health. Here’s why:
You’re too tense
The stress of the day has no where to release itself. You have no time to decompress, and it’s probably lurking around in your body.
TIME TO RELEASE TENSION.
Emotional highs or lows
Where is the balance? Where are the peaceful moments? If you don’t take time away, they are probably not there.
TIME TO FEEL PEACE.
“Barking” at the people close to you
No, you are not a dog out of control. You are just a human being who’s not giving herself the time she needs to rest and recharge.
TIME TO RELAX.
“I’m needed. I can’t get away.”
Rubbish. You can always get away even if just for a half hour. No one is that indispensable.
TIME TO GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK.
“Being by myself sometimes feels uncomfortable.”
Giving yourself what you truly grave sometimes goes against what we are used to. Not giving yourself the necessary time to regroup can be the negative habit we’re used to. So when we do something that’s different, it feels strange (even if it is the very best thing for ourselves).
TIME TO STEP OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE.
