Every relationship has its ups and downs, but if you’re experiencing more of the bad than the good you might be wondering if it’s time to call it quits. What are the signs that your relationship won’t last?
There’s no physical contact
Intimacy is vital to any relationship – and that doesn’t only include sex. If you used to cuddle and hold hands but now you rarely, or never, do, this is a red flag that something is wrong.
They’re only around when it’s convenient
In a lasting relationship, your partner should support you and be there even in difficult times. If they’re only around when something good happens or when they need you, you aren’t a priority.
You haven’t met their friends or family
Meeting a significant other’s family might not happen until the relationship becomes serious, but if there is no indication that they want you to meet their family they probably don’t see the relationship going anywhere. If you also haven’t met their friends, that’s a surefire sign that they’re not serious.
You don’t enjoy each other’s company
Couples are bound to have arguments occasionally, but if you’re constantly fighting or in a bad mood when you’re together, there’s a serious problem. You should also be able to spend time doing absolutely nothing while still feeling comfortable together.
You have doubts about the relationship
If your gut is telling you that there’s something wrong, or you constantly question why you’re with this person, listen to your intuition. If you don’t trust your partner, they can’t make commitments, or you don’t see a future with them, it’s not likely that your relationship will last.
