These days, when everything is changing so quickly around us—new governments, new people who come and go in our lives, trustworthy and loyal individuals are so important. But how do you sift out the people who “say” they are loyal, and the ones who actually are? Heed these signs.
If you need them, even if they are busy, they find a way to get back to you
Most of us have a lot on our plate, but the people who really care carve out the time to be there. Take notice of the ones who don’t!
You’re having second thoughts about them
Trust your gut…if you feel someone can’t be trusted, you probably have some evidence for that—even if you can’t pinpoint it at the time.
They ditch you for other people
Do you feel like you’re not a priority? They always cancel plans, or seem to put other people before you. We all need to feel special, and someone who doesn’t pay attention to your needs doesn’t really care about you.
They lack integrity
Actions speak louder than words. Don’t just listen to their words, what do they actually DO? You can tell a lot of what the person really thinks and feels by their follow-through.
Other people don’t like them
What do your friends and co-workers think about the person—if they have a bad reputation, you can bet that you’ll be exposed to that side of them soon enough.
If they keep disappointing you, well, it’s probably time to move on. Once, twice, even three times, we might excuse someone’s behavior. But let’s face it, a pattern seems to be emerging and why stay round to experience the fall out?
