If you thought cheating was the ultimate dealbreaker for relationships, think again. Keep reading to find the many ways a relationship is headed towards doom.
Ugly, nasty criticism
A bit of constructive criticism isn’t bad but anything beyond that can be terribly hurtful, especially when it comes from a partner. One partner’s harsh comments can leave the other in fear of rejection/abandonment.
Lack of trust
When suspicions arise, some will do almost anything to find out the truth. They’re haunted by the irritating question of whether or not our partner is faithful. Spying, snooping around and always being suspicious towards your partner can easily create tension in the relationship and chase them away.
Being neglectful
It’s the saddest thing when one partner is in a time of need and the other is nowhere to be found. Emotional support from a partner is a an important key to a long lasting functioning relationship. When your partner starts to feel unloved and pushed aside, you can kiss them goodbye.
Allowing others to influence you
There will always be a few haters here and there – people who “mean the best” by speaking negatively about your partner. Siding with others and letting their opinions stand in the way show that you’re not truly committed.
Fighting each other and not the issue
When having an argument, it’s best to argue the healthy way. One in which will end in resolution.
If you’re breaking each other down instead of breaking down the issue, you both pose as threats to each other.
Unexpressed conflict
Problems that are left unaddressed will make any relationship perish. Over time, the tensions created by those unsorted issues will build up and turn partners against each other.
