Terrible hair stylists, smoking, spandex, bad relationships…see where I’m going with all this this? They’re all things you need to leave behind! If you’re in a relationship and you’re trying your best to make things work, but something still feels off, watch for these signs.
They play the victim
Whenever you get into any dispute they always put the blame on you. They refuse to admit they’re wrong, and it’s difficult to resolve things, which leads me to my next point:
They think they’re always right
They never have an open mind during arguments. It’s like talking to a small child; whatever you say goes into one ear and straight through the other. With them there’s no room for improvement and you end up leaving the argument even more frustrated than when it started.
They are their biggest contradiction
Listen to their words, then pay attention to their actions. They could say anything to you without actually meaning it. If you see that time and time again they’ve done the opposite of what they’ve promised, their hearts are probably as empty as their words.
Shuts your interests down
When it comes to a having a nice time, it’s their way or the highway. They never care for the things you like and refuse to do whatever you suggest.
They’ve pushed you past your breaking point
You’ve excused their past misdemeanors. You’ve overlooked most of their deceits, but something they’ve recently done has left smoke coming out of your ears. When they’re behavior just seems to be getting worse and they don’t seem to care, then you know what time it is—-time to let go.
Don’t work on themselves
It takes two to tango. In other words, relationships consist of sacrifices, trust, promises, and growth. Every now and then you need to observe your actions and watch how it has affected your relationship, but this person just doesn’t get that point. It could be that they’re not willing to change a bad habit or even that they’re not striving to keep the relationship flowing. You’re doing the best you can, but they aren’t.
They’ve drained every bit of your energy
They’re like that class you enrolled in that you thought would be great, but you ended up hating it. Everyone knows that all relationships have their ups and downs, but at this point it’s more exhausting than uplifting.
