A nine-year-old boy with autism was found after going missing, thanks to police intervention and a GPS bracelet.
A link to a video of police locating the boy can be found here. A statement from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page read in part:
“With the invaluable assistance of SafetyNet — a program utilizing GPS-equipped bracelets — HCSO’s SafetyNet team was able to find the child, hiding behind a building’s A/C unit, safe and unharmed.”
The boy was found 0.2 miles from his home, approximately twenty minutes after police began searching.
