Nine-year-old, Charlotte Sena, was found safe 48-hours after her abduction. Police report that she “was taken under circumstances that lead police to believe that they are in imminent danger of serious harm and/or death.”
“When you hit that 48-hour moment, you realize it’s going to be tough and you start thinking the worst,” New York governor, Ms. Kathy Hochul said. “But what happened was extraordinary.”
“He literally drove up to the family’s mailbox, assuming they were not home, at 4:20 in the morning. He opened the mailbox and inserted a ransom note, leaving a critical piece of evidence behind — his own fingerprint.”
That fingerprint helped authorities identify and arrest Craig Ross Jr., 47. Sena was reportedly stashed in a cabinet, inside a trailer Ross Jr. kept on his mother’s property.
“We are overjoyed at the news that Charlotte Sena has been located safely this evening after an intense days-long search,” the governor said. “Our hearts are with her family as they welcome her home.”
