Kraft Heinz has voluntarily recalled 5,760 cases of their Wild Cherry flavor of Capri Sun.
According to a press release by Kraft Heinz, the drinks were “inadvertently” contaminated with a cleaning solution that is used on food processing equipment.
“The issue was discovered after we received several consumer complaints about the taste of the affected product,” Kraft Heinz stated. “The company is actively working with retail partners and distributors to remove potentially impacted product from circulation.”
The products affected have a “best when used by” date of June 25, 2023. The cartons also feature a universal product code of 087684001004 and the cases feature a code of 876840040900.
Customers can call Kraft Heinz at 1-800-820-8252 to see if their product is affected by the recall.
Customers are also advised to return these products to the store where they were purchased.
