In an interview with Time magazine, Amal Clooney opened up about what it’s like being married to the legendary George Clooney — and raising four-year-old twins.
“Marriage has been wonderful,” Amal said. “I have, in my husband, a partner who is incredibly inspirational and supportive, and we have a home filled with love and laughter.”
She went on to explain the thrill of raising her twins Ella and Alexander.
“It is a joy beyond anything I could ever have imagined,” she said. “I feel so lucky to have found a great love in my life and to be a mother—this is how I get my balance.”
Though Amal and George keep their personal lives relatively private, George also recently spoke about his marriage to Amal. On an episode of the podcast WTF With Marc Maron, George said his wife is “the most extraordinary, smart, brilliant, beautiful woman” he’s ever met.
“Listen, I didn’t want to get married; I didn’t want to have kids,” he continued. “And then this extraordinary human being walked into my life, and I just fell madly in love.”
The couple was first spotted together at a dinner party in October 2013. They married in 2014 in Venice, Italy, and have led a private but seemingly very happy life ever since.
