As Todd and Julie Chrisley continue their prison sentences, their children struggle to adjust to life without their constant guidance. This transition appears to be most difficult on the youngest Chrisleys—16 year old, Grayson, and 10 year old, Chloe—as well as their older sister, Savannah, who has taken custody of both.
Savannah recently told listeners on her podcast how “weird” it is to see her father with gray hair, when she visits him at the Federal Correctional Institute in Pensacola.
“Even visiting my dad, like, I know. I have so much hope and so much restored strength that I’m like, ‘This isn’t the end.’ And I know that they’re going through what they’re going through for us to make a difference, for us to make a change. Because whether this appeal works or not, they’re still coming out with a story.”
The family is also preparing to take on a new addition. Chase Chrisley, the eldest son of Todd and Julie, has spent his first Valentine’s Day with his bride-to-be, Emmy Medders. Medders and Chrisley got engaged in October. No date has yet been set for the wedding.
Despite the undetermined length of engagement, the pair are excited to “start a family together”. Todd and Julie are also getting involved in planning the wedding. Before their imprisonment, Medders said that, “Todd’s already blowing up my phone, sending me some dress options that he thinks are pretty.”
Chase has been the quietest of the Chrisley children, regarding his parents’ legal issues. He went on Savannah’s podcast in December to defend his decision:
“I think that I don’t owe anybody an explanation. I don’t owe the public an explanation. I don’t need to explain how I feel to anybody, other than the people that I care about and that I love.”
