Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman share two children together, Faith and Sunday, and live a happy family-oriented life split between their many houses, located in Nashville, New York, Los Angeles, and Sydney.
But if you asked either of them how big their family is, the answer would not be four…it’d be much higher.
Keith and Nicole are parents to a dog, three cats, as well as cows, alpacas, chickens, and even fish!
Their furry family starts with their dog Julian, a small red poodle who the couple adopted in 2019. Kidman admitted in an Instagram post welcoming her fluffy child that she had never had a dog before.
Speaking with You Magazine in 2020, she admitted that she’d always been a “cat person”.
“I really am a cat person. I’ve just got one of those carriers. Have you seen those?” she asked. “Those backpacks that you can put them in?…a cat carrier that’s a backpack and it has a window that they can peek out of and it’s got air and everything and they love it.”
Although she admitted to being a cat person, if you took a look at her Instagram, you’d think that she’s been a dog person all her life, as Julian frequently appears on her page.
Julian was even Keith’s plus-one to the 2020 ACM Awards.
Along with Julian, they have their cats Ginger and Snow, as well as their newest cat family member, Louis, who they rescued in September 2020.
Now before you say, That’s not crazy, plenty of people have four pets, Keith and Nicole can’t be wrapped into that category.
Their residence in Sydney is actually a farmhouse, which homes an array of animals including cows, chickens, and alpacas.
While Keith is able to peacefully pose with his cattle in a 2021 Instagram post, Nicole says the alpacas are a little harder to get along with.
Speaking in the same You Magazine interview, Nicole says of the long-neck buck-tooth creatures, “They’re a little fierce. They make noises, they spit and they can bite.”
But they’re just so darn cute that they got to keep them around!
So, if you ever have the privilege of running into the power couple at some point, sure you can talk about their astounding careers and their lovely children, but don’t forget to ask how their extra hairy family members are doing!
