Baby Willis is here!
Rumer Willis and her husband Derek Richard Thomas just announced the birth of their first child, daughter Louetta Isley Thomas, via a joint Instagram post.
“You are pure magic,” they captioned a photo of Louetta wrapped in a blanket, sharing that she was born at home last Tuesday, April 18. “You are more than we ever dreamed of.”
Louetta is the first grandchild for Bruce and Demi, and both grandmas, Demi and Emma Heming, gushed over the little bundle of joy in the comments section.
“Pure love for this little birdie,” Moore wrote, with Heming adding, “Omg we love her so much”.
Other friends of Rumer showed their love, including Hillary Duff and Riley Keough.
Rumer and Derek first revealed they were expecting just before Christmas last year, posting a photo of the rocker husband holding and kissing Rumer’s baby bump.
Since then, Rumer has filled her Instagram with maternity photoshoots and Demi has expressed her excitement to be a grandma.
“Entering my hot kooky unhinged grandma era,” Demi captioned a repost of Rumer and Derek’s post last December.
With everything going on in the Willis family recently, regarding Bruce’s diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia, it’s nice to have a little glimmer of hope and happiness for the family.
Rumer had previously talked about her father’s desire to be a grandparent and the “pressure” she felt to give that to him.
“Over the quarantine, he was like, ‘So I’d like for you to have a son because I need some male energy in this group,’” Rumer said on The Talk in 2020. “It’s a lot of women, obviously. He has five daughters and my mom and my stepmom. There’s just a lot of female energy. Even then, I’m like, ‘OK, I want to make sure who I do that with.’”
Looks like the female energy just keeps piling up in their family. But something tells me that Bruce is more than okay with that. He’s got a good group of ladies looking after him, and now he’s got one more.
