There are many things we could call Rihanna—a world-class entrepreneur, an international superstar of the highest rank, or a designated National Hero of Barbados—but ASAP Rocky calls her “wife”.
Rocky and Rihanna are not yet married—in fact, they aren’t even engaged—but they have shown a massive commitment to each other, not only in words and actions, but in the sharing of their son, RZA, and their unborn child.
Rihanna’s first-born arrived on May 13th, 2022. Rihanna is currently pregnant, and while its unclear how far she is in the pregnancy, it’s likely safe to assume her second will be born later this year.
Since the songstress has spent the last two years pregnant or post-partum, much has been written about her shifting body. An extremely unflattering article titled, “Will Rihanna Make Being Fat the Hot New Trend This Summer?” was written and promptly deleted by an independent journalist, starting a trend of people commenting on her weight, either derisively or in support of her new curves. Regardless of the intention of the author, it’s not right to comment on other people’s bodies—even when they’re a public figure and even if you approve of their appearance. Rihanna’s childhood best friend has asked that fans, “stop judging her!”
ASAP Rocky, however, has no time for the trolls. He states that in any condition, Rihanna is “the love of his life”. When asked how his relationship with her compares to other partners, he was quick to shut down any hint of competition.
“So much better when you got ‘the One.’ She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She’s the One.”
