32 years have flown by like nothing for Rob Lowe and Sheryl Berkoff. Lowe gushed about his wife in the caption of an Instagram post made on Saturday. “Today marks 32 years married to this beautiful, inspiring, nurturing, strong, industrious, sexy, and wonderfully unique woman,” Lowe, 59, wrote posting a selfie of Berkoff, 62, outdoors. He continued, “I am SO grateful for the day she said she’d join me on our amazing life journey together. Happy Anniversary, Baby!!”
While the thirty plus years of wedded didn’t start on their first time meeting on a blind date in 1983, it seemed fate already was at work.
The couple would reunite in 1989 while both worked on Lowe’s 1990 thriller Bad Influence. In an interview with People in January 2022, Lowe said that his ability to overcome his vices and addictions was through his determination to be better for Sherly, proving that if a man wants to he can.
The couple wedded in 1991 and welcomed two boys into the world in 1993 and 1995. Sons Matthew, 30, and John, 28, brought more love and happiness into an already splendid marriage. Lowe reflected on his journey not only as a husband but as a father in a 2022 People interview.
“I’m happy I lived the life that I lived because I have no regrets, but I was super ready to coach Little League, carve pumpkins on Halloween, read books and serve hot lunch on Wednesdays,” he said, “I really, really loved every minute of it.”
The name Rob Lowe turns heads no matter what, but, the man is proof that having a work-life balance is possible. Of course his ability to do such is a product of years of work. He told People, “Up until I turned 26, I spent all my time investing in my career,” he says. “From 26 on, I’ve invested in me; my spirituality, my recovery, my marriage, my family. A lot of it has been, excuse me, f—ing hard. And no one has a perfect life… but I’m grateful for all of it.”
