David Foster recently caused a stir after he published a video of his 2-year-old son, Rennie, playing on a drum set.
Instagram users quickly responded with post positive and negative comments, with some calling out Foster for supposedly abandoning his daughters, Allison, Amy, Sara, Erin, and Jordan, in favor of Rennie.
Allison is Foster’s daughter from a previous girlfriend, who was placed for adoption as an infant. Amy is the daughter of Foster’s first wife, Bonnie Jean Cook. Sara, Erin, and Jordan are the daughters of Foster and his second wife, Rebecca Dyer. Rennie is the son of Foster and his fifth wife, Katharine McPhee.
McPhee, 39, is 13 years younger than Foster’s eldest child. Still, the Foster clan defended their father against allegations of abandonment, especially Amy, pictured below who commented back against trolls.
“Hi….im a daughter…absolutely no abandonment,” Amy wrote. “I literally just talked to my dad five minutes ago,” she continued. “Are you sticking up for us? It’s hard to tell these days. You see a video with an amazing two year old and your take away is something negative?”
