Deepfake technology, used to merge an image overtop of a video, has become more sophisticated in recent years, with many celebrities falling victim. Taylor Swift is the latest target in this trend, with an X user creating and posting videos where the star appears to be naked.
Surprisingly, the user, whose account is now protected for his safety, showed remorse.
“Bro, what have I done? They might pass new laws because of my Taylor Swift post,” he wrote in a post, continuing, “If Netflix did a documentary about AI pics they’d put me in it as a villain. It’s never been so over.”
It bears mentioning that the user expressed more remorse for his own condition than the woman he victimized.
