You meet someone and you think they’re great. But as time goes on, you realize they’re bad for you. You can’t put your finger on the reason why at first, but if you notice these subtle clues they might be toxic.
Green with envy
The moment something good happens to you, they want it. Worst of all, they don’t share an ounce of your happiness and they’re enveloped in jealousy.
Whiny
Anytime you catch even the slightest glimpse of this person, you want to run the other way. Their list of complaints is never-ending and they’re sure to exhaust you by the end of the conversation.
Self-centered
Do you ever listen to a person speak and wonder, “How much more can they go on about themselves?” If you haven’t, then you will with this person. As soon as the spotlight is on you– they grab the mic.
Freeloading
You might think you’re doing this person a favor, which from the bottom of your kind heart you probably are, but whatever they’re doing is not so kind. They take you for granted, then leave without a single ‘thank you.’
Stubborn
With them, there’s no such thing as compromise because your output doesn’t matter. It’s their way or the highway, leaving you feeling frustrated and mostly unimportant.
