Adele, acclaimed musician for over a decade now, has gone head over heels for her boyfriend, Rich Paul. The couple made their first public appearance in July last year, when she attended game 5 of the NBA Finals and sat courtside next to Paul, a sports agent and CEO and founder of Klutch Sports Group. Recently, Adele and an audience of fans celebrated Paul’s 41st birthday during her concert at Caesar’s Palace, which is part of her residency in Vegas, by singing “Happy Birthday” to him.
Adele, who was previously fairly private about her personal love life, has been quite open about how she feels for her new beau. She was first married to Simon Konecki, sharing a 10 year old son, Angelo, before filing for divorce back in 2019 and finalizing it in March of 2021, ending their 3-year-long marriage. Adele and Paul were spotted together the following July.
In an interview with Vogue in October of 2021, Adele recounts when the two first met at a party a few years ago, saying, “I was a bit drunk. I said, ‘Do you want to sign me? I’m an athlete now.’” She also recalls that he was the only one dancing while “all the other guys were just sitting around”. In a separate interview with Elle earlier this year, she says, “I’ve never been in love like this. I’m obsessed with him.”
Having three children of his own, including one who’s a Junior in college, Paul is open to having more kids in the future. He says he wants to be “a more patient dad” having initially been a father at such a young age. Paul, who’s partnered with Old Spice’s School of Swagger, a mentorship program that aids less fortunate kids and helps them to graduate from high school, cares and has great aspirations for the youth population of the world, a characteristic that Adele admires and shares with him, having a son of her own.
Since their first public appearance, Adele and Paul have made it widely known that they are together, making it Instagram official back in September of last year with a post of them at a wedding for NBA star and client of Paul’s, Anthony Davis. The couple has since been seen at a number of NBA games sitting courtside, have moved in together in a house in Beverly Park, CA, and even sparked engagement rumors when Adele attended the BRIT Awards wearing a fat diamond ring. She has played with the media, neither confirming nor denying the fact that they are engaged, saying, “As if I would tell anyone if I was or wasn’t.”
In the midst of all of this, Adele seems to be feeling and looking great after her astonishing weight loss journey, losing 100 pounds in two years. She says she still works out “three times a day” and has done little to change her diet. In fact she says, “If anything I eat more than I used to because I work out so hard.”
So for anyone who’s an NBA fan, particularly the Lakers (seeing as though Paul has a few clients on the team including Lebron James), keep an eye out for the lovely couple sitting courtside whenever you’re sitting down enjoying the game.
