Frankie Valli, the frontman for the band The Four Seasons and subject of the musical, ‘Jersey Boys’, has remarried at the age of 89.
Valli married his longtime girlfriend, Jackie Jacobs, 60. Jacobs is Valli’s third wife. Jacobs and Valli have been involved since 2015, with Jacobs saying, “We met at a restaurant in Los Angeles where he joined my friends and I for dinner. We kept in touch by phone until he called me and asked for a date in late 2015 and we’ve been together ever since.”
Valli thinks that, “it’s terrific to have found love once again at this stage of my life.”
This joy is well-earned for Valli, who is still suffering from the loss of two of his daughters, who passed just six months apart. His firstborn, Celia, died in a car accident in 1980, at only 26-years-old. Months later, his thirdborn daughter, Francine, passed away from an overdose at 20.
‘Jersey Boys’ writer, Rick Elice, claims that while Francine’s passing is included in the musical, Celia’s is not, because, “if you put that in the show, no one would believe it. It would be too horrible and seem like it was fiction.”
