Coming out of high-profile divorces, Shakira and Gisele Bundchen were spotted dining together alongside their children. The pair was spotted at Makoto restaurant in Miami Beach, Florida with the singer’s sons, Milan, 10 and Sasha, 8, and supermodel’s children Benjamin, 13, and Vivian, 10.
The duo both recently went through extremely public divorces. Shakira ended her 11 year relationship with soccer player Gerard Piqué after discovering that someone had been eating her jam that neither her then-husband nor children ate. This revelation allegedly caused Shakira to realize that her husband was having an affair with current girlfriend Clara Chia Marti. The couple announced their split via Instagram where they asked for privacy for the sake of their children who the couple called ‘their maximum priority.’
Shakira was recognized as Billboard’s Woman of the Year at the Latin Women in Music Gala in Miami and she took the opportunity to talk about how the divorce impacted her. “It’s been a year where I’ve realized we women are stronger than we think, braver than we believed, more independent than we were taught to be. Because what woman hasn’t, at some time in her life, forgotten herself because she’s seeking the attention and love of someone else?”
Gisele Bundchen went through her divorce in October 2022, ending a 13 year relationship with NFL Hall-of-Famer Tom Brady with whom she shares her two children. Both Bundchen and Brady took to social media where they described the divorce as an ‘amicable’ and said that they both were ‘grateful for the time’ they spent together. Just like Shakira and her ex-husband, Bundchen and Brady both expressed their desire to keep their children’s best interest first and foremost.
Bundchen told Vanity Fair that she has no regrets about loving Brady and that they are not working against each other.
