Anne Heche will be close to Mickey Rooney and Halyna Hutchins in her final resting place, ET reports. The late actress will also be laid across from Johnny Ramone, Chris Cornell, Valerie Harper and Anton Yelchin in a “serene” location.
Per ET, the grounds have a beautiful view of the lake that is located within the Garden of Legends, with the Hollywood sign visible in the hills. The spot, which was chosen by Heche’s children, is a “more private area” of the iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
As previously reported, the late actress’ eldest son Homer, 20, shared a statement on Tuesday: “My brother Atlas and I want to thank Tyler, Noelle and all the amazing people at Hollywood Forever for their kindness, compassion and generosity of spirit. We are convinced our Mom would love the site we have chosen for her; it’s beautiful, serene and she will be among her Hollywood peers.”
“Most importantly, Hollywood Forever is a living place, where people attend movies and concerts and other events,” Homer continued. “She was our Mom, but the kindness and the outpouring of the past few days reminded us that she also belongs to her fans, to the entertainment community, and now, to the ages.”
Heche was involved in a car accident on August 5th. She remained in a coma for almost a week and was taken off life support on August 14th.
According to her death certificate, obtained by ET, Heche’s body was cremated on August 18th at the cemetery.
A date for her service has not yet been determined by her family.
