According to Anne Heche’s death certificate, obtained by PEOPLE, she will be laid to rest at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles.
It was also revealed that her means of disposition were cremation/burial on August 18th. The arrangements were handled by the Hollywood Funeral Home.
Anne Heche’s eldest son Homer, 20, shared a statement on Tuesday: “My brother Atlas and I want to thank Tyler, Noelle and all the amazing people at Hollywood Forever for their kindness, compassion and generosity of spirit. We are convinced our Mom would love the site we have chosen for her; it’s beautiful, serene and she will be among her Hollywood peers.”
“Most importantly, Hollywood Forever is a living place, where people attend movies and concerts and other events,” Homer continued. “She was our Mom, but the kindness and the outpouring of the past few days reminded us that she also belongs to her fans, to the entertainment community, and now, to the ages.”
Heche was involved in a car accident on August 5th. She remained in a coma for almost a week and was taken off life support on August 14th.
Heche crashed her Mini Cooper into a Los Angeles home on August 5th, causing the car and residence to erupt in flames.
Many of her Hollywood peers expressed their love for her on social media. Keo Motsepe, her former Dancing with the Stars partner, wrote in an Instagram story: “I love you @ anneheche.”
Robert De Niro also paid tribute to Heche. “I’m very sad to hear of the tragic passing of Anne Heche. She was a wonderful actress and I enjoyed working with her tremendously in Wag the Dog. Sad! Sad! Sad!”
