UPDATE 08/02/2023: The reappearance of Alicia Navarro has taken a strange turn.
RadarOnline reported that Navarro allegedly entered a police department to remove herself from the missing person’s list, in order to obtain a driver’s license. Her mother had previously stated that she believed Navarro was lured away from home by a person on the internet, after finding a note left in their home the night of her disappearance that read, “I ran away. I will be back. I swear. I’m sorry.”
An FBI raid of the home where Navarro had been living ended in taking 36-year-old Eddie Davis into custody. No arrests have been made.
Glendale Police have clarified that “to us she is a victim, and we need to provide services to her.” Following, Navarro is not facing any charges. She required no medical attention and, being 18-years-old, is free to return to her mother on her own recognizance.

It’s the kind of story that seems too good to be true: a missing girl, presumed gone forever, suddenly turns up safe and sound…
In September of 2019, 14-year-old Alicia Navarro disappeared from her home in Glendale, Arizona. Her mother, Jessica Nuñez, was devastated and feared the worst. Despite an intensive search effort that involved the FBI and the Center for Missing and Exploited Children, no sign of Alicia was ever found.
That is, until she walked into a police station in Montana, four years later.
The story of Alicia’s disappearance and miraculous reappearance is one that has captivated the nation. In an exclusive interview with NBC News, Glendale police spokesman Jose Santiago described the emotional moment when Alicia was reunited with her mother: “It was extremely overwhelming for everyone involved, including the detectives.”
According to police, Alicia is safe, healthy, and happy. She has expressed remorse for the pain and worry she caused her family, but also hopes to move on with her life and rebuild her relationships.
The circumstances surrounding Alicia’s disappearance and reappearance are still shrouded in mystery. While she voluntarily left her home, the reasons why are not yet clear. But what is certain is that Alicia’s story is a testament to the power of hope and perseverance.
For Jessica Nuñez and her family, the past four years have been a rollercoaster of emotions. But with Alicia back in their lives, they can finally begin to heal and move forward.
