The body of a missing father in Kentucky was finally found after an exhaustive, five-day search. Craig Tomasetti was located, submerged in his van, inside the Licking River.
Tomasetti was last seen on April 13th and was reported missing shortly after. He was a white, male, standing at 5 ’11 feet tall, and was driving a Toyota Sienna. The search was a race against time, as the police had previously reported that he could be an imminent threat to himself. The search party eventually found Tomasetti, on the 18th of April, in Licking River at 12:30am, near Locust Pick Park.
The Covington police expressed their condolences to the Tomasetti family and thanked their community for the support in a Facebook post. This post outlined an update, letting everyone know what had just transpired. The phrase, “Our hearts are with the family during this tragically difficult time,” expresses the police’s grief and awareness of the family’s predicament.
The police could not have done this solely on their own. In the same post, the Equusearch Midwest, Boone County Water Rescue, and Det. Jim Lindeman were all highlighted as important subgroups that made Tomasetti’s search successful. At this time, there is still an on-going investigation, uncovering the truth in this tragedy.
Despite the fact that this was a tragic event, the community coming together for one family is a kind, persevering endeavor. Our hearts go out to the Tomasetti family.
