Ever since 2016 Brad Pitt seems to be more and more distant from his eldest son. After an infamous incident between him and ex-wife Angelina Jolie, which allegedly involved violent behavior from Pitt, he has not been seen with his eldest son Maddox.
According to an FBI investigation, it is reported that the couple began arguing while on a plane ride along with their children Maddox, 22, Pax, 19, Zahara, 18, Shiloh, 17, Knox and Vivienne, 15. Pitt was reportedly drunk during the argument and grabbed Jolie by the shoulders, shook her, and accused her of ‘ruining’ their family.
Other court documents reveal that the children on the plane tried to protect one another. However, it is alleged that Pitt choked one of his children and slapped another across the face. While it is not confirmed that Maddox was the child in question, it is confirmed that their relationship has not been the same.
According to a source close to Pitt, the actor is upset that while he was able to amend his relationship with some of his other children, Maddox and him cannot seem to find common footing with one another.
“He sent him a gift for his 21st birthday and a loving note as a last ditch effort to make amends, but never heard back,” the source dished of his son’s birthday, which is on August 5. “When Maddox was younger, they had such a special connection. Brad and Maddox not only bonded on a loving father-son level but also intellectually.”
Whatever happened between Pitt and Maddox may never be publicly known, but we can only hope they are able to mend their broken relationship in the future.
