Burt Young, who played Paulie in the ‘Rocky’ franchise, has died at the age of 83.
His death was confirmed by his manager, who said in a statement that Young “could make you cry and he could scare you to death. But the real pathos that I experienced was the poignancy of his soul. That’s where it came from.”
Young is also mourned by co-star, Slyvester Stallone, who posted to Instagram with the caption: “To my Dear Friend, BURT YOUNG, you were an incredible man and artist, I and the World will miss you very much…RIP.”
