Cash Warren and Jessica Alba have been together for almost two decades, and their relationship has been anything but perfect. In a recent interview on the “Whine Down With Jana Kramer” podcast, Warren opened up about how he almost lost his wife over jealousy issues.
“When we first started dating, I was really jealous of other guys and the attention that she was getting from other guys,” Warren confessed. “It just wasn’t making me feel good. I was always a pretty confident person… And next thing you know, I’m looking up and just feeling jealous all the time.”
Warren’s jealousy eventually led to the couple’s brief split, as he began “turning into an a**hole.”
“We broke up. And during that time apart, I was just, like, if we ever got back together — I, like, made a promise to myself to channel that in a different way, into a more productive way,” he said.
Since then, Warren has worked hard to change his behavior and become a better partner to Alba. The couple has gone from strength to strength and welcomed three children together.
“Fortunately, I’ve got a partner who’s kind of right there, lock and step,” Warren said. “We either give each other our space that we need, we talk it out, we maybe go on a date night. You try to do things to get it back.”
Despite their ups and downs, Warren remains Alba’s “biggest cheerleader.” He has always encouraged her to pursue her passion and career and not “make sacrifices.”
“We live, we forgive, we forget,” he said. “And that’s what makes our relationship so strong.”
The road to true love is never smooth, and Cash Warren and Jessica Alba are proof of that. But with hard work and dedication, they have built a lasting relationship that has stood the test of time.
