Chrissy Teigen and John Legend “have another one on the way!”
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, the model and TV personality shared that she and her husband are expecting another baby, CNN reports.
“So far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I’m feeling hopeful and amazing,” Teigen, 36, gushed in the caption of the post, which also includes a photo of her baby bump.
The couple, who have been married for almost nine years, have experienced a rollercoaster of emotions over the past several years. Teigen gave birth to their two children, Luna, 6, and Miles, 4, before she and Legend suffered a devastating miscarriage in 2020.
“The last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again,” she wrote in the post.
After losing her son, Teigen made it a point to be transparent about her family’s experience with miscarriage, which occurs in 10% to 15% of known pregnancies.
“We are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things we’ve been able to experience,” she wrote on Instagram after announcing the family’s loss. “But everyday can’t be full of sunshine. On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it.”
The couple previously revealed that both Miles and Luna were conceived through in vitro fertilization. Teigen shared in her announcement Wednesday that the new baby comes “1 billion shots later.”
“Every appointment I’ve said to myself, ‘ok if it’s healthy today I’ll announce’ but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear a heartbeat and decide I’m just too nervous still,” she wrote.
“It’s been very hard keeping this in for so long!”
