Christine Baumgartner is calling out “highly dubious” and “obstreperous” moves by her estranged husband, Kevin Costner’s, legal team.
Baumgartner will likely be responsible for reimbursing Costner’s legal fees, as she broke the initial clauses of their prenup by remaining in their family home past the 30 days allocated for her to find a new place to live.
Now, Baumgartner is claiming that Costner overloaded his legal team beyond necessity, with the intention of having her pay.
“Apparently, his deep pockets contributed to the exorbitant fees his attorneys charged for the work they performed,” legal documents read. “For example, it appears the Wasser firm charged Kevin nearly $8,000 for two attorneys to drive to Santa Barbara to join Kevin’s local counsel, Ms. Misho, at the hearing on the Kick-Out RFO (request for order) after receiving the Court’s tentative decision the day before. Yet, neither participated, opting instead to have Ms. Misho speak on Kevin’s behalf.”
We will provide updates as they are made available.
