Clint Eastwood hasn’t been seen in over 400 days. At 92 years old, many fans and Hollywood colleagues fear that his health has turned to the worst.
According to Radar Online, a physician, who hasn’t ever treated Eastwood, weighed in his opinion of his theoretical health issues based on his appearance in public outings before his disappearance.
“It looks like he has weak bones or significant osteoporosis because of the deep curve in his upper back. But everyone loses bone with aging,” he stated.
Again, though, this is just one doctor’s opinion. Nothing has been confirmed regarding any concerning health problems the Gran Torino star is suffering.
Eastwood’s last public appearance was on February 6 of last year, where he attended the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am at Pebble Beach Golf Links, California, per HITC.
This year, the golf tournament took place from January 30 to February 5, in which Clint skipped for only the second time since 2012. His son, Scott, competed in the event.
“Clint has always enjoyed great health and been vital and active despite his advancing age, but the fact that he hasn’t been around as much lately has a lot of people in Hollywood worried about him,” a source told Radar, adding, “It’s hard to imagine him in anything other than fine form but Father Time catches up to all of us.”
Despite not being spotted publicly, Clint has made appearances on two of his daughter’s social media pages as of late.
Last Thanksgiving, Clint was photographed in two posts on Instagram, one from his daughter Alison on November 24, and the other from his daughter Francesca on November 27.
In both pictures, he’s spending time with family, smiling, and appearing to be in good health.
His ex-girlfriend and mother to Francesca, Frances Fisher, also posted a throwback photo of the two of them in honor of the 2023 Oscars. The former couple are seen walking together at the 1993 Oscars, where Frances remembers him winning best director and best picture for his film, Unforgiven.
In the caption, she jokes, “I won that night too…I was pregnant with Francesca!”
Besides these photos, the Dirty Harry star has not been seen, sparking health concern rumors and worrisome fans. But maybe these photos can put us at ease for the time being. Maybe he just wants some time to himself, as he’s earned, for sure.
A look back at his 2021 interview about his most recent film, Cry Macho, should give us at least some insight to his attitude about continuing to work in his older years.
“I’ve gotten to the point where I wondered if that was enough, but not to the point where I decided it was,” he said at the time, revealing he has no plans to retire from Hollywood just yet. “If you roll out a few turkeys, they’ll tell you soon enough.”
