Shannen Doherty and Suzanne Somers share a tragic connection; both women were diagnosed with breast cancer that later spread to their brains.
While Suzanne Somers passed away on October 15th, she fought a courageous battle against a terrible disease.
Shannen Doherty continues to show resilience and strength, announcing through Instagram:
“On January 5th, my scan showed Mets in my brain. My fear is obvious. I am extremely claustrophobic and there was a lot going on in my life. But that fear…. The turmoil….. the timing of it all…. This is what cancer can look like.”
Doherty also recently took to Instagram to mourn her dear friend, Matthew Perry. The caption reads, in part:
“You would always find us all together in a booth speaking in our own made up language. And yes, Matt always had THAT sense of humor. Matt and I had a date and it was on Valentine’s Day. He wanted to get a reservation at a restaurant in Malibu but couldn’t so my dad got the reservation for him. We went and he talked about my dads Irish persuasiveness the majority of the night.”
