Diane Sawyer on the resilience of the Japanese people

I have the utmost respect for Diane…when there is reason for her to be anyplace in the world, she is there.  She tells the story of what is needed from not only a journalistic standpoint but from a heartfelt perspective.

Last night she reported on how the Japanese people are handling the disaster.  She showed examples of orderly lines (no looting), people recycling food containers they had been given, she eluded to their humanity–the fact that many of them practice Buddism. There was truly a message of HOPE and COURAGE which was uplifting.

Diane is a powerful woman, but her power lies in her compassion which comes across in the stories she reports on.
