Edwin Castro, winner of the largest Powerball jackpot in history at $2.04 billion, has purchased a third house with his earnings.
Castro elected to receive the lump sum payment, adding up to a post-tax total of $628.5 million. It’s unclear what profession he had before winning the jackpot, but one can assume that managing that much cash is a job, in itself!
Castro’s previously purchased houses include a $4 million mansion in his hometown of Altadena, CA, as well as a $25.5 million home in the Hollywood Hills; making him close neighbors with Ariana Grande and Dakota Johnson.
The newest Los Angeles home is the most expensive, at $47 million.
