While many of us are still practicing social distancing, we are hoping that things will go back to a sense of normality in the near future. There are lots of great, unexpected ways to stumble upon your soul mate, so be sure not to rule any of these out. Pick a wedding dress and see where you’ll meet your soulmate.
Number 1: Your apartment building or neighborhood
It’s never a smart idea to date roommates, but people in your general living area aren’t as risky. If you’re in a giant complex, you may meet your soulmate at a building party, or at the very least be introduced by some nice neighbors. It’s a little more challenging to socialize after college, so don’t be shy about going up to people during a walk in your neighborhood or building when you’re out and about.
Number 2: On public transportation
Maybe it’ll be the person reading a book next to you, the kind soul who gives up their seat for a pregnant woman. Maybe you are not very graceful and they catch you during an unexpected train jerk, but again, that’s a neat story to divulge later on down the road.
Number 3: Online
Swipe right! Swipe left! Twenty-three percent of people who try online dating meet their spouses on one of these sites, so even though the pointless stigma continues to linger, more and more women are walking down the aisle. Quarantine may be your time to thrive. Get on Hinge, Bumble, or whatever works for your wants and needs.
Number 4: On a vacation
Maybe it will be on a plane, a train, or a boat. Perhaps at a resort or bar in the town of your destination. A vacation romance is on the horizon for you! It’s exciting and you’ll wonder if it will last. You won’t be able to avoid the temptation of seeing each other when it’s over.
Number 5: At Work
I know, I know, don’t defecate where you eat. Though office romances can end badly, they can also give birth to lifelong companionship. The workforce and school are among the top places to find one’s spouse, and it’s not that surprising to hear. If you’re in the same field, chances are you have similar interests or at least understand each other’s workflow. It can also give you common topics to complain about when you’ve had stressful days.
Number 6: It’s someone you already know or have met
Sometimes we spend our lives looking for something that has been right next to us all along. Or so the saying goes. You may have met this person through some friends and they are just an acquaintance you need to get to know better, or they are currently friend-zoned and waiting for you to see them in a new light. Keep your heart open because your soulmate might not be too far away.
