Michael Strahan revealed that his 19-year-old daughter, Isabella, suffered from a brain tumor last year.
Isabella began experiencing headaches and dizzy spells as she entered college, eventually “throwing up blood” before doctors found a tumor larger than a golf ball on her cerebellum.
“I got to ring the bell yesterday,” she said, in interview with her father and Robin Roberts on ‘GMA’. “It was great. It was very exciting because it’s been a long 30 sessions — six weeks.”
Isabella completed surgery and will undergo chemotherapy next month.
This revelation clears up a mystery from last year, after Strahan announced that he would be taking leave from ‘Good Morning America’ and ‘Fox NFL Sunday’ to deal with a “personal family matters”.
