Princess Kate and Prince William led the way in wishing the Queen a happy birthday on their joint Twitter page. They shared a pink birthday cake and a simple “Happy Birthday To Her Majesty the Queen” on their Instagram Stories. The couple also chose a picture from Queen Camilla’s outing to the Wimbledon tennis championships last week, highlighting Princess Kate’s link with the tournament as patron of the hosts, the All England Tennis and Croquet Club.
The official royal family account also shared a smiling portrait of Queen Camilla. The historic Westminster Abbey, where she and King Charles were crowned in early May, also sent their best to the Queen. Complete with a picture of her wearing Queen Mary’s crown at the historic service, the Abbey wished her a very Happy Birthday. The bells at the Westminster Abbey rang out for Camilla’s birthday, which is the first time since 2019.
The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery Battery also fired a 41-gun salute in Green Park, echoing across central London. Queen Camilla’s hundreds of patronages and charities expressed their appreciation for her support and played up the fun she brings to her official outings.
She served up some creamy desserts, and her grandchildren – who call her “Gaga” – are on summer break from school, giving her some precious time with them. Queen Camilla will spend her birthday privately and then start her summer vacation with King Charles at the Balmoral estate in Scotland. With official duties in the coming week, the Queen will undoubtedly continue to bring joy and light to those around her.
Happy Birthday, Queen Camilla!
