Alana Thompson, former Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star, is all grown up and graduating high school this coming academic year!
Alana’s sister Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon shared several photos on Instagram of Alana’s senior yearbook photos.
Pumpkin, 22, who two months ago was granted sole custody of Alana, 16, added in the caption, “I’m so proud of how far you’ve come against all odds that have been thrown at you.”
In the first photo, Alana poses with Pumpkin and her 1-year-old baby Bentley. In the next few shots, she is pictured smiling in a yellow cap and gown.
In other images, Alana is in a more casual look, sporting an off-the-shoulder black top, a white skirt, and white sneakers.
In the last two photos, she poses in a black sweater with “senior” written on the front in pink lettering.
Alana also posted a few shots on her own Instagram account with the caption: “senior year!!”
According to PEOPLE, Lauryn was granted sole custody of the reality star in June of 2022. The arrangement allows her mom June Shannon to speak to Alana daily over the phone, but Lauryn “determines the visitation rights.”
June is also required to pay $800 per month in child support, which will conclude when Alana turns 18.
June was previously arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. She was caught with crack cocaine and a crack pipe, which eventually led to felony charges in 2019.
June spoke to Page Six about the situation. “I’m very thankful for her because the situation could have been a lot different. Pumpkin stepping up, I’m very grateful because it could have turned into a bad situation.”
Lauryn also spoke out in an episode of Mama June: Road to Redemption, confiding in her sister Jessica Shannon of their mother’s “inability to follow through with her promises.”
June, who is in a new relationship with Justin Stroud, moved to Georgia with him to be closer to her children.
