Knowing that many in our WomenWorking.com community are missing their loved ones, I sat down with renowned medium James Van Praagh to ask if it was possible for us to connect with them, and if so, how would we do it. James believes that the soul continues on. In fact, our loved ones who have passed on are very much with us, even if not in physical form.
If you want to create a connection with someone close to you, here are some practical things you can do according to advice from James.
Write down your loved ones’ thoughts
Write down five aspects of yourself that the person who passed on loved about you. This action may be simple, but it could be enough to help you reconnect. Throughout the day, recall these qualities. Be open to receiving a thought, feeling, sign, that they are with you, even now.
Create a quiet place to hear them
Find a space that is quiet where you will not be distracted. Close your eyes and take three deep breaths. Breathe in what James calls “golden light,” or a connecting force with your loved ones, and breathe out the old. Then, invite your loved one into your space. Ask them what they want to tell you. Wait for a thought, feeling, sign–you will know it’s them because their personality will be attached to what you have received.
Set a place at the table for your loved one
During breakfast, lunch or dinner set a place for them at your table. This act invites your loved one in the spirit world to join you. You will most likely have a sense that they are with you during the meal.
