Josh Brolin is a proud dance dad.
The Avengers: Endgame villain posted to his Instagram Story a couple pictures of his 4-year-old daughter Westlyn’s first dance recital.
In the first photo, Josh gushed at how “proud” he was of his daughter’s big moment, with the second photo showing his father, fellow actor James Brolin, and Josh’s father-in-law, posing with both Westlyn and Josh’s youngest, Chapel.
Josh is also father to his adult children Trevor and Eden whom he welcomed in his previous marriage to Alice Adair. In 2016, he wed his current wife Kathryn Boyd and they share Westlyn and Chapel together.
Josh is no stranger to multiple marriages as his father married twice before settling down a third time with iconic musician, actress, and director Barbra Streisand, who wasn’t photographed at the recent dance recital.
The couple met on a blind date in 1996 and tied the knot exactly two years later and have been together ever since.
Last September, James talked with People about how he and Barbra have made their relationship grow and last throughout the years.
Referring to Streisand as the “negotiator” of the relationship, he said, “Everybody needs to have patience and know when to take a walk.”
“Being understanding where your rages and your fire comes from,” The Amityville Horror star added. “Knowing that they will calm down and you can negotiate. I don’t think anybody’s immune to that no matter how great lovers look over at that table, let’s say.”
Streisand, who shares her son Jason with ex Elliot Gould, has not only served as a close stepmother to Josh and his siblings, but also as a grandmother to his children.
In 2018, Josh talked on Sirius XM’s EW Radio Spotlight about the “typical Jewish grandmother” Barbra was to his then pregnant wife.
“She is one of those … it’s annoying but in a really great way, [with] emails every day and like, ‘Hey, I thought of this name, what do you think of that?,” he shared. “[And] ‘When can I come over and feel the baby?’”
Josh quickly learned that his stepmom was in tune with all the popular trends and was present on social media, seeing all the photos of Kathryn’s baby bump and pregnancy updates.
“She is really into it and I love that she is into it,” he added. “I mean, it’s like, very typical Jewish grandmother who is saturated by this event. It’s awesome.”
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, their blended family grew even closer, with Westlyn being around and Barbra and James being neighbors to the No Country For Old Men star’s family.
Barbra posted a photo to Instagram at the time showing Kathryn and Josh social distancing themselves at their house.
What a star-studded family they have that’s equally filled with love and tightness.
