Jane Seymour “definitely was not looking” for love, when she found it in her 60s, with director, David Green.
“David showed up at my house one day with one of my oldest friends, who was also one of his oldest friends. He came over for breakfast to see her and the next thing I knew we were having long conversations. We realized we almost worked together a long time ago. We had lunch and dinner and the next thing we realized was that we had a lot in common. And the same values. We both had children, we both had long marriages that had ended and we both love what we do. It’s a different time in our lives and we appreciate the time we have now in our lives together.”
Seymour has been married four times and still has positive relationships with each of her ex-husbands—including her ex, David Green, who involved her in failed real estate investments, which eventually left her bankrupt.
“I think it’s really wonderful I found a contemporary, someone I knew 40 years ago. We both had lives, and now we found one another, and we have another chance,” she told US Weekly. Although, the “Doctor Quinn: Medicine Woman” star likely will not marry again in the future. “I’m just enjoying life and not tying knots I don’t think knots work for me. No. I’m keeping my heart open.”
Besides their long careers in the entertainment industry, Seymour and Green have a lot in common, which makes their relationship work, “It’s nice to date another Brit in America — as we share the same sense of humor and culture and we have shared friends.”
“I just think it’s pretty remarkable, actually, because most women my age do not find someone else. If they do, they usually find a very much younger man, and it’s an uneven relationship.”
