Jay-Z is opening up about his deep regret for cheating on his wife, Beyonce Carter-Knowles. He wrote in the title track of his album ‘4:44’: “Look, I apologize/Often womanize/Took for my child to be born to see through a woman’s eyes.”
Similarly, Beyonce came out with her landmark album, ‘Lemonade’, in response to his cheating. Few forget the infamous “Becky with the good hair”, the pseudonym the songstress used for her husband’s partner. On her track ‘Don’t Hurt Yourself’, she sings, “This is your final warning, you know I give you life. If you try this shit again, you gone lose your wife.”
Most of all, Jay-Z seems to regret the impact his actions may have on his young children, rapping: “And if my children knew, I don’t know what I would do/ You did what with who?/ What good is a ménage à trois when you have a soulmate/ You risked that for Blue?”
