John Travolta’s holiday was picture-perfect.
On Christmas day, the actor shared an adorable Instagram video of himself and his children, 21-year-old Ella Bleu Travolta, 21, and Benjamin Travolta, 11 — and their poodle mix — cuddled up in bed for a reading of The Night Before Christmas.
“Merry Christmas everyone,” captioned Travolta, whose Instagram profile is filled with sweet family moments.
2021 marked the Travolta family’s second Christmas following the July 2020 death of John’s wife and the children’s mother, Kelly Preston. Years earlier, in 2009, John and Kelly lost their son, 16-year-old Jett Travolta, during a family vacation in the Bahamas.
The actor has since spoken out about his struggle with grief, revealing what he’s learned about healing after loss.
“Mourning someone, living in grief, is very personal,” Travolta told Esquire Spain earlier this year. “Grief is personal and finding your own path is what could lead to healing. It’s different than someone else’s journey … The first thing you should do when you experience grief is to go to a place where you can mourn, without any interference.”
It seems that despite suffering major loss, the Travolta family is strong and full of love.
