Kevin Costner has recently revealed in court that he will “probably go to court” over leaving Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Yellowstone’ before the series finale.
“We did negotiate. There were issues about creative,” Costner said. “Somewhere along the line, they wanted to change things. They wanted to do 5A and 5B; [it] affected Horizon. I was going to do my movie Horizon and leave that show, do my movie, then do B. A show I was only doing once a year I was now doing twice.”
Costner claims that he is previously owed $12 million for the second-half of season five, which is as of yet unfilmed. Sources also attest that Costner rejected a $24 million payout for an additional two seasons.
“I couldn’t help them any more,” Costner said. “We tried to negotiate, they offered me less money than previous seasons [and] there were issues with the creative.”
