It seems Kevin Costner is over the legal battle him and ex wife Christine Baumgartner have been locked in since May 2023. Reports from RadarOnline say that Baumgartner has requested that a Santa Barbara superior judge order Costner show up for their upcoming hearing. However Costner’s lawyers argue that Costner is too ‘busy.’
The hearing is supposed to determine Costner’s annual income as the couple brawl over his $400 million dollar fortune. The judge allowed Costner to attend the hearing via Zoom.
The legal battle started when Baumgartner hit the Dancing With Wolves star with divorce papers after nearly two decades of marriage. The troubles first started when Baumgartner refused to leave the former couple’s 145 million dollar compound in Carpinteria, California.
Originally Baumgartner demanded a whooping 232 thousand a month in child-support for their three children ages 16 and 13. The Yellowstone alum challenged the demand and the judge ordered that the actor pay 129 thousand dollars a month instead. This upcoming November the couple is set to have a battle over the validity of the prenup signed in 2004 before their wedding.
Tensions have continued to be high as recent pictures show Baumgartner on vacation alongside one of Costner’s closest friends, Josh Connor. A source close to Costner said that the Bodyguard actor is sick over the whole thing. “Kevin doesn’t know what to say or who to trust,” the source added.
