Breaking news in the entertainment world: Lindsay Lohan is pregnant!
Lohan made the announcement on Instagram Tuesday, posting a photo of a baby onesie that had the words “coming soon…” printed on it.
“We are blessed and excited!” she captioned the photo.
Lohan is expecting her first child with her newlywed husband, Bader Shammas – a financier she met in Dubai in 2018 – whom she married last July.
Lohan’s rep confirmed their marriage to People last year after she posted on Instagram, referring to Shammas as her “husband”.
“I am the luckiest woman in the world,” the caption read. “Not because I need a man, but because he found me and knew that I wanted to find happiness and grace, all at the same time. I am stunned that this is my husband. My life and my everything. Every woman should feel like this everyday.”
Her and Shammas’ romantic life have been kept relatively private, having first sparked relationship rumors in 2020 with a since deleted Instagram post where she called him her “boyfriend”.
They first became Instagram Official in 2021 when she announced their engagement, captioning a collection of photos of them, “My love. My life. My family. My future.”
Besides on her social media accounts, Lohan hasn’t talked too much about her husband and future father to her child. However, she did give a little insight into the kind of person he is to her in a Cosmopolitan interview last October.
“I have an amazing husband, who’s a very calm person. Just the best,” she answered when asked what her support system looks like. “And my family. And I feel like I have a small group of good friends who are just really good people. That’s the only support that I really need: friends, family, and loved ones.”
Talking with E! earlier this year, she talked about what living in Dubai with Shammas is like now that she travels back and forth to New York for work, saying she’d consider moving back to New York in the future, but for now, “I’ll keep my place in Dubai! My husband and I like it there.”
