Nidal ‘Andy’ Khalil and his brother, owners of the store that sold the winning $1.7 billion Powerball ticket last week will receive a $1 million commission.
Khalil’s plans for the money? “I want to make sure my kids have enough funds for college.”
Khalil owns the Midway Market and Liquor store in Frazier Park, California, a small town of less than 3,000 residents.
He says he hopes that the winning ticket was bought by one of his “regular customers, because we have a few who buy tickets every day. After 30 years of selling those tickets, we need a winner.”
